Santander expands its remarketing programme with Manheim

Santander Consumer Finance will now sell 10,000 vehicles per year through Manheim.

This will expand its well-established auction programmes at Manheim Bristol, Colchester, Mansfield, Washington and Manchester.

Peter Bell, managing director at Manheim, said: “We have worked in partnership with Santander Consumer Finance for more than 15 years, and over that time we’ve established a successful auction programme with a strong buyer following.

“Manheim’s national network of auction centres gives customers the flexibility to grow their remarketing programmes in line with business growth, and we are delighted that Santander Consumer Finance has chosen to increase the number of sales with us each month.

“The Santander brand has a great buyer following in the auction halls and online, which has led to some fantastic results this year.”

Car supermarket stock grew 11% to capture September buyers

Car supermarkets grew their stock of used vehicles by an average of 11% during September in an effort to capture car buyers looking to buy in the key number plate change month, has reported.

Data compiled by the car search website found that used car supermarkets averaged 723 cars in stock, compared with 643 last year as they attempted to counter competition from the new 69-plate on sale in franchised dealerships.

Just as the National Association of Motor Auctions (NAMA) suggested that electric vehicle (EV) customers might have their heads turned by used cars amid a shortage of supply and long lead times during September, identified that used car retailers had primed their forecourts to cash-in on less patient car buyers last month.

Windrush VW signs 1,000 vehicle remarketing deal with BCA

Windrush VW has signed an exclusive remarketing deal with BCA to manage over 1,000 vehicles a year.

The Volkswagen dealer operates showrooms and servicing facilities in Slough and Maidenhead in Berkshire, serving customers from across the Home Counties.

The partnership will see vehicles sold at BCA Blackbushe every Friday.
