Manheim sees record breaking performance at Hitachi CV auction

Manheim was able to sell £1.2 million worth of premium commercial vehicle stock from a pop-up auction held at Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions’ site in Trowbridge.

This is a record-breaking performance for the auction company.

A total of 239 buyers participated in the event, achieving 106% of CAP average and 98% sale conversion.

The average selling price was £10,013 and 49% of all lots were sold online to buyers logging in via Simulcast, Manheim’s online buying platform.

For the first time at this event, all vans were sold with Manheim SureCheck LCV, a 41-point pre-sale mechanical inspection providing a market leading seven-day assurance period for buyers.

G3 reviews appraisal app after inspection milestone

G3 Remarketing has reviewed its appraisal app after hitting 150,000 inspections two years after it was launched.

The AVID (Audio Visual Inspection Device) platform was introduced by the business in March 2017 following 18 months of development.

Used daily by G3’s NAMA qualified inspection team, both on-site and remotely at locations across the country, the application was a cornerstone of the record-breaking year for the business in 2018.

Reaching the milestone of 150,000 appraisals, G3 saw it as an opportunity to review both the data and processes created by AVID.

It says that the inspection team has worked closely with a national SMART repair company to verify the damage estimates used in the system with an accuracy of 96% again current market costs.

Aston Barclay app wins Best Mobile Strategy at technology awards

Aston Barclay’s App technology has received to the gold award for Best Mobile Strategy at the recent UK Digital Experience 2019 awards.

It was able to beat brands such as mobile phone provider 3 and Manchester United football club.

Judges praised Aston Barclay for building on its Buyer’s App launch from 2017 and then using it to join the retail and wholesale remarketing journey under its Digital Solutions brand.

The awards were set up five years ago to recognise businesses that use digital technology to enhance customer experience.

City Auction Group strengthens management team to support growth

City Auction Group has strengthened its Rockingham management team, welcoming Maria Avery as its new corporate business manager and Sarah Triolaire as administration manager.

Avery, formerly a manager at Tesla and sales manager at Sytner, will oversee the introduction of lane two, specifically for finance house and dealer group part exchange auction events.

She will also be responsible for leading the buyer engagement team to develop long term partnerships with major franchised dealer groups, car supermarkets and independent motor retailers.
